Have a wonderful time but spare a thought for the friends who depend on us all:
Please read as pets are for life..................
T’was the night before Christmas and all thru the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. Our stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds with no thought of their dog that was filling their head. With mom in her kerchief and I in my cap knew our dog was cold, yet didn’t care about that. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, figuring our dog was free of his chain and into the trash. The moon on the crest of the new fallen snow gave the luster of mid-day to objects below. When what to my wondering eyes should appear but Santa Claus with his eyes full of tears. He unchained our dog once so lively and quick, last year’s Christmas present now painfully sick. More rapid than eagles he called the dog’s name and our dog ran to him despite all of his pain. “On Dasher, on Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen, on Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen!” To the top of the porch to the top of the wall “Let’s find this dog a home where he will be loved by all.” I knew in an instant there’d be no gifts this year, for Santa had made one thing exceedingly clear. The gift of a dog is not just for the season. We had gotten the dog for all the wrong reasons. In our haste to think of the kids a cool gift there was one very important thing that we missed. A dog should be family, and cared for the same. You don’t give a gift, and then put it on a chain. And I heard him explain as he rode out of sight, “You weren’t given a gift, you were given a life''.
Please, please remember,
A DOG IS NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS A DOG IS FOR LIFE!!!!!!!
Yippeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jenny is 18 today!!!!!

Even Luca & Cousin Rory joined in the celebrations, they played a party game of 'who can get their legs into the most silly position'!!!

Haha, I think Luca won!!!
Of course a Birthday wouldn't be complete without a Birthday cake,

YUMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
June has brought with it many exciting times (as well as plenty of wind & rain!!!!!!).
Firstly Jen took her driving test and.......... PASSED FIRST TIME, YIPPEE well done Jenny!!!!!!
Then it was the 25th Burnham on Sea Triathlon and once again Tim & Ian took part, both achieving great times despite the best efforts of the British weather.

Yippee I survived!
Then a little later in the month we received the news we had all been waiting for.......we were going to have a new family member in the form of a lovely black & white baby girl called Jilloc's Young Treasure aka Mia. She will be coming from Sweden to join us early 2012 (such a long wait because she needs her 'Pet Passport).
We have to say a HUGE 'Thank You' to Florence & Rune for not only allowing this beautiful girl to come and join us in England but also for looking after her for us until she obtains her 'Pet Passport' - Just how lucky are we?!

Jilloc's Young Treasure (just 4 weeks old)
Imagine what a perfect weekend would be.......friends, family, food and add some wonderful dogs, you have it in a nutshell!!!
How lucky were we to have a 'flying' visit to Sweden to see some good friends and as it happened they had some sweet babies for us to cuddle too.
First a little time to explore and in Skara we found the coolest 'cash machine' building ever

Amazing!!!!!!!!
We were so lucky the sun shone on us all as we enjoyed the lovely town........... Ok guy's 'smile'!!!

Mmmm, not quite what I was aiming for
Then off to see Florence & Rune, their dogs and of course the puppies, yippee!!!!

A true Puppy Bundle

Ahhhh! Ok, who is the softy??????

Kisses for Jen

It's no good Tom, no matter how hard you try, you are not as sweet as that pup!
And after a hard day of puppy cuddles it was time for a lovely meal with Florence & Rune at our Hotel.

The 'healthy option' of course.
The hotel was so very pretty at night.

So all that is left is to say a HUGE thank you to Florence & Rune for sharing your time, home and wonderful dogs with us. We look forward to you visiting us in the near future.
We are very thrilled to announce that our clever boy Luca (AKA Caldecacre Cordeiro Tajada) has achieved his 'Canine Coaching' award, for the work he has done with behaviourist Angela Stockdale.
Today his 'official presentation' was held!

A proud moment despite the wind & rain!

Well done Luca, helping to prove once again that Dalmatians have brains as well as beauty!!!
If you would like to learn more about the work which Angela does, or would like to contact her, you can find all the information you need on her very own web site at www.dog-partnership.co.uk .
We are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of Luca's nieces and nephew!!!!

6 lovely babies (1 boy & 5 girls) were born to Luca's sister the lovely Boo (AKA Caldecacre Cabooshka) and sired by the very handsome Blinken (AKA Perdita's Right As Rain At Caldecacre).
This a very special and long awaited litter and we send a HUGE congratulations to Louise and all at 'family' Caldecacre!!!
And of course lot's of love & hugs to Boo & babies
And so the wintery weather continue's, it has been more like the North Pole recently than the mild South West of England
. However the freezing conditions have and a 'plus' side because out on our walks it has really been just like a 'Winter Wonderland'!!!!!

Staying warm!

Ice for your drink Sir???

Pretty!!

Heading to 'Narnia'!!

Ok, Mum get your 'skates' on and open the gate.
Who knows we may even have a white Christmas.......watch this space.
November has proved to be yet another very busy month with work restarting on the 'sunroom', this time it was the floor which received attention.
A wooden floor was chosen and in typical Dalmatian style Luca was ready and willing to lend a paw
'Paws' for thought!
Clearly all the hard work paid off!

FANTASTIC JOB!!
Also more sporting success, Jenny took part in the School's National Orienteering Championships where in her class she achieved 15th place in the Country, and the Gordano School team were placed 9th out of over 50 teams, WHAT A RESULT!!

Well done Jen ![]()
This month also brought a touch of winter to us all, which made our trip to Longleat Centre Parcs all the more magical, talk about a winter wonderland.

Just arriving

A bad hat day!!!

Ok we just HAD to have one scenic picture!

We even 'spotted' a Polar Bear!!!!
And Tom met a very special friend,

Cool
And finally just time to introduce a very special new member of the family,

Baby 'Elvis'
As October draws to an end, the nights start drawing in, time I think for the log burner to come into action, and Luca took full advantage (no surprise there then!!!)!

The perfect 'spot'
October has ben a busy month with Jenny's birthday slap bang in the middle, so after a brilliant paint balling session with friends, it just had to be food with 'BIRTHDAY' cakes included.

Oooooo YUM!
And the month wouldn't be complete without saying a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Tim and Tom for their silver medals won at the Clevedon Splash and Dash.

GREAT JOB
So now all that remains is for us all to wish everyone a wonderful HALLOWEEN may all your surprises be spooky one's

Ok 'spot' the Zombie.......
Exciting news!!!!!
We are proud to announce that our boy Luca AKA Caldecacre Corderio Tajada, has been chosen as the new 'face' of Well Pets Animal Hospital.
